What is Our Fungus?

I designed this poster as a submission for a United Designs Alliance poster contest. My design concept shows the contrast between nature's balance through the image of the branches and human's imbalance through the black and white in the background.

The question, What is Our Fungus?, points to the fact that humans have nothing stopping them, no checks or balances put in place, from overtaking other species and overtaking the earth. We have caused a major imbalance to our planet, our ecosystems, and the natural equilibrium of the world.
